Judy Lynn
Sterling
July 6, 1942 – November 30, 2024
Judy Lynn Sterling (Pelletier), 82, of Merrimack, NH died suddenly on November 30, 2024.
Born July 6, 1942, the daughter of Glenna Pelletier and Lorenzo Barrett, she was raised in Gilman, Vermont. She graduated from Concord High School, Concord, VT. in 1960.
She was married to Albert E. Sterling for 52 years until his death in 2013.
She is survived by her children, Brian Sterling and his wife Karen of Temple, Karen Raymond and her husband Jeffrey of Amherst, Carmen Sterling and her partner Scott Chase of Merrimack; grandchildren Josiah Sterling and his wife Colleen, Emilea Avery and her husband Brian, Grantham Raymond and his wife Amy, Joel Raymond, Quincy Raymond and his partner Snowcone (Rhianna) Cardone; great- grandchildren Sterling, Gowan, and Terence; her brother David Pelletier and sister Kathy Lovell, her brother-in-law Richard Sterling, (predeceased by sister Cheri Mire and brother-in-law Wayne Sterling); several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other kin.
A long-time member of the First Church of Merrimack, she lived her faith daily. She loved crocheting blankets for newborn babies in her church community and making sure the kids had clothes, toys, and candy.
Generous and kind, she was always willing to lend a helping hand, to provide a meal to anyone, to call and check in on you, or to send a note or card letting you know she was thinking of you.
Feeding people made her happy. She was an excellent cook and created amazing meals out of anything she found in her kitchen. Her grandchildren have fond memories of the best homemade potato chips and french fries ever and Grammie-size pieces of cake.
She loved to travel and had especially fond memories of her trips to Sanibel Island collecting seashells.
She enjoyed watching the birds and any wildlife that strolled through her yard. She had a knack for finding four leaf clovers. She loved flowers blooming in her yard and in her vases.
Spending time with her family gave her the greatest joy. Judy will be dearly missed, but her perseverance, faith, and love will remain with us always.
There are no calling hours. A service will be held at First Church of Merrimack, 7 Baboosic Lake Rd. on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 11:00AM, facilitated by Rivet Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at a later date at Miller Cemetery in Temple, NH.
In lieu of flowers, please do something nice for someone.
Donations may be made to the Deacons' Needy Fund at the First Church of Merrimack.
