Kathleen “Kathy” Ritchie, 77, of Nashua, NH passed away on Friday, August 14th, 2026 at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, MA after a period of declining health.

She was born in Lawrence, MA on October 20th, 1948 to the late Edward A. and Dorothy C. (Blanchard) Wood. Raised in Methuen, she was a graduate of St. Anne High School in Lawrence, MA.

Kathy was a registered nurse for many years working at the Hunt Community, Catholic Medical Center, Home Health & Hospice and retiring from CMC in 2020.

In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, sewing, cooking for her family, and spending time with her family and friends.

Along with her parents, Kathy was pre-deceased by her daughter Kimberly Ann Ritchie in 1988 along with two siblings, Rosie Doyle and Michael Wood.

She will be forever loved by her daughter, Sue Ellen Peters and her fiancé Paul Lamarine; two grandchildren, Alexis and Todd Peters; four siblings, Betty Guthrie, Richard Wood, Edward Wood and Stephen Wood along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Kathy’s wishes, burial will be held privately in Last Rest Cemetery in Merrimack, NH at the convenience of the family.
