Larry M. Carpenter, 71, of Merrimack NH passed away peacefully on Friday, March 22nd, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Columbus, OH on September 27th, 1952, he was one of two sons to the late Neal and Florentine (Schneider) Carpenter. He was raised in Columbus, OH, Ludhiana India and Rome, Italy where he graduated from Overseas School of Rome.

Larry worked as a Product Manager for Oracle for many years until his retirement in 2018. Known as "Mr. Data Guard", Larry was an expert in his field, was an HA Technical Evangelist and worked as a consultant to diverse enterprise customers worldwide.

In his free time, Larry enjoyed being outdoors with his family – boating, swimming in lake Winnipesauke, cooking delicious meals and traveling. He also enjoyed music, playing guitar, spoke 4 languages, and being a jokester. He was always willing to help anyone in need, give big bear hugs to those who wanted one, and left a lasting impression with his "larger than life" personality.

He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 50 years, Bernadette (Fleming) Carpenter; three children, Larry NJ Carpenter and his wife Karen, Sarah and her husband Mark Summerfield, and Sophie and her husband Kevin Linkroum; five grandchildren, Dominic Carpenter, Samantha and Jack Summerfield, and Adam and Emmeline Linkroum; a brother, Leroy Carpenter and many other friends and loved ones.

Visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 from 4 - 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024 at 9:30 AM.
