Lise Roy, longtime resident of Merrimack, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 15th at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 82 years old. Lise was born in Barnstead, Quebec, Canada and was the daughter of Eugene and Mae Menard. Lise and her family moved to Merrimack from Canada in 1970, earning her citizenship in the 1990's, an achievement she was very proud of. Lise held many part time jobs over the years, but the job she loved most was raising her family and spoiling her grandchildren. When she wasn't busy lighting up the room, she was cleaning it. She spent her free time watching hockey, sewing, cooking, snowmobiling, playing cards, and traveling in her RV. She enjoyed traveling to Florida and Canada and spending time with her family who meant everything to her. She was dearly loved and leaves behind a hole we can never fill.

Lise will be missed deeply by her husband of 62 years Martial Roy, her sons Norman Roy of Merrimack, Daniel Roy and his wife Anita of Londonderry, Sylvain Roy and his wife Cheri of Merrimack, David Roy and his wife Rebecca of Auburn, siblings Cecile Tetreault, Jean Yves Menard, Marcel Menard, Colette Roy, Jacques Menard, Francine Moreau, and 11 grandchildren. Besides her parents Lise is also predeceased by a sister; Nicole Rachon.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday July 21st from 12 – 3 PM at the Rivet Funeral Home 425 Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack. A Funeral Service will be held immediately following calling hours at 3 in the funeral home chapel. A celebration of her life will be held at 3:30 to 7:30 PM at Bedford Event Center 379 River Road Bedford NH.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Lise's honor may be made to the Samantha C. Smith Fund at scsfund.org. A charity that was close to her heart.
