Lois D. Velcheck, 80, of Merrimack, NH passed away on Monday, April 18th, 2022 at her home.

Born in Fort Meade, SD on February 17th, 1942, Lois was one of three children of the late Marion and Helen (Wiar) Mowrey. She grew up in a military family in KS-MO-TX-FL and graduated from Paxon High School in Jacksonville and received her Nursing degree from St. Luke's.

Lois was a delivery nurse, elementary school nurse and then an orthopedic nurse for many years for St. Joseph's Hospital in Nashua before retiring in 2005.

She was pre-deceased by her son Michael Velcheck on December 30th, 2021 along with her two siblings, Venita Newsome and Jim Mowrey.

She will be missed by her husband of 58 years, Robert C. Velcheck; and her son, Robert N. Velcheck and his partner Jenn Simon of CO along with the extended Mowrey/Newsome Family of FL/GA/ME and the Patullo/Kletz families of NJ/CO.

Memorial visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH on Friday, April 29th, 2022 from 5 – 8 PM. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Neumann Church, 708 Milford Road, Merrimack NH on Saturday, April 30th, 2022 at 10 AM.
