Obituary

Louise Wilkins, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and cherished friend, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on May 21, 2025, at the age of 85, in Bedford, NH. Born on December 22, 1939, in Glenville, NY, she was one of two children to the late Barbara (Hunt) and Christian F. Habbe. She led a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to her community and family.

Louise graduated from Whitesboro Central School in 1958 and pursued her passion for helping others by earning her nursing degree from St. Luke's Memorial Hospital Center School of Nursing in 1961. Her thirst for knowledge and drive to excel led her to achieve a Master's in Business Management in Healthcare Administration from New England College in 1985. Louise's career was a testament to her commitment to the health and well-being of others, a true calling that she fulfilled with grace and compassion.

In 1962, Louise married Richard Wilkins, and together they raised three wonderful children. Although their marriage ended in 1988, they remained united in their friendship for their family.

Louise's life was enriched by her active involvement in her community. She found joy in the simplest of pleasures, from her delightful trips on the New England Coach Tours to the rhythmic joy of line dancing. Her caring, nurturing, and spiritual nature uplifted everyone around her. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent playing and laughing with them.

Louise will be forever loved and remembered by her three children, Janine Wilkins and her husband Alan of Merrimack, Kevin Wilkins and his wife Tina of Merrimack, and Brian Wilkins-Egan and his wife Tanya of Bedford; three grandchildren, Jason Wilkins, Keith Wilkins and Jake Egan; three great-grandchildren, Michayla, Brenna and Nyla; Sister -in-law, Sharee Habbe along with several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was pre-deceased by her brother Christian C. Habbe on May 7, 2025.

Memorial visitation will be held at Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH on May 29, 2025 from 5-7pm with a brief service to follow in the funeral home chapel. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to The Arbors of Bedford for the exceptional care and compassion they provided to Louise during the last 17 months of her life.
