Marie Ann McCarthy, 82, of Merrimack died peacefully at home with her family on Saturday, May 1, 2021.  She was married to Kevin J. McCarthy, Sr. for 52 years before his passing on May 23, 2012. Marie's greatest love was her family, and she remained the heart and soul of the family and best friend to her children until her death.

She was born in Cambridge, MA on March 1, 1939 to the late Charles E. Sr. and Marie V. (Kelley) Baxter. She was raised in Dover and graduated from Dover High School before attending The College of New Rochelle.

Along with her parents, Charles and Marie, and husband Kevin, Marie was pre-deceased by her beloved youngest daughter, Casey L. McCarthy, on March 29, 2013, a granddaughter, Shannon M. McCarthy, on March 12, 2021, and her sister, Laura J. Baxter, on February 8, 2009.

She will be forever loved and remembered by her four children, Kevin J. McCarthy, Jr. of Merrimack, Sean E. McCarthy of Concord, Erin M. McCarthy of Concord, and Megan A. McCabe and her husband Terrence of New Castle; five grandchildren, Katelyn and Sarah McCarthy, Brendan McCarthy, and Keegan and Devin McCabe; three siblings, Charles E. Baxter, Jr. and his wife Heidi of Sandown, Dale E. Shade and her husband William of Gettysburg, PA, Colleen V. Jalbert of Rochester and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Church, 25 Chestnut Street, Dover, NH at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. Burial will follow in New Saint Mary Cemetery, Dover NH.
