Marjorie Ann (Wynn) Nelson, 79, of Londonderry, NH, and a former longtime resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away at All American Assisted Living in Londonderry, NH, on Friday, July 3rd, 2026.

Marjorie was born in Oklahoma City, OK, on December 2nd, 1946, to the late Virginia (Melvin) and Bailey Wynn. She graduated from U. S. Grant High School, where she was an active choral and pep club member. Marjorie went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Business Education from Oklahoma City University. She used her education to teach typing, shorthand, and ABC Steno script at a business college in Colorado Springs.

Marjorie was a committed follower of Christ who served faithfully at First Southern Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Black Forest in Colorado Springs. Marjorie taught for many years in Sunday School, served as pianist and premier vocalist, and brought her business acumen and Spirit-guided discernment to numerous committees, including the personnel, stewardship, and nominating committees. Marjorie also supported the youth choir and served as a sponsor on numerous choir and mission trips with the youth group.

After serving as the pianist and as a Discussion/Group Leader for Bible Study Fellowship, she was selected to be the Teaching Leader of the BSF Women’s East Day Class. Marjorie served full-time for 29 years, leading hundreds of women and dozens of leaders and staff in the BSF class to grow closer to Jesus through Bible study. She was passionate about discipling others as she was actively involved in the Navigators, Officers’ Christian Fellowship, and Bible Study Fellowship. She also supported numerous missionaries worldwide in advancing the Gospel.

Along with her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Loren P. Nelson, Jr., and her brother, Bailey Wynn, Jr., in 1972, with whom she shared the same birthday, two years apart.

Marjorie will forever be loved and remembered by her daughter, Lori and her husband Kevin Peters; her son, Loren P. Nelson, III; eight grandchildren, Brandon and his wife Jennifer Peters, Alisa and her husband Peter-John Philbrick, Ashley and her husband Andrew Weaver, Ryan and his wife Brianna Peters, Katherine Nelson, Jonathan Peters, Davis Nelson, and Matthew Peters; five great-grandchildren, Alexis and Aurora Peters, Anthony and Alisa Weaver, and Ezra Philbrick; along with her nieces, Stephanie Dawson and Yolanda Nelson.

A committal service will be held on Saturday July 11th, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the mausoleum chapel at the Pine Grove Cemetery located at 765 Brown Ave in Manchester, NH.
