Obituary

The Armand-Raymond family announces the passing of their beloved mother, Mary Armand, of Nashua, NH and Ft. Pierce, FL, who died after a short illness on May 30, 2020, at the age of 74. Born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts, the youngest of four siblings: Leo Fellion (predeceased); Thomas Fellion (Dolores); and Nancy Ratner (Michael), Mary was always adventurous and industrious—never one to let the grass grow under her feet. These qualities were learned from her parents, Leo and Mabel (Hurley) Fellion (predeceased), shared by her loving husband of 30 years, Michele Armand (predeceased), and role-modeled as a gift to her children and grandchildren.

From the garden to the table to the home, Mary's talented hands would grow it, cook it, or make it.  Known as a consummate host, Mary's family and friends were the beneficiaries of her industry, culinary skills, and generosity of spirit. Mary was a thoughtful friend and colleague who could always be turned to for both sharp-witted fun as well as support.  Constantly learning new things, always on the go, Mary thought the best way to get to know a new city was to get lost in it, literally. Even in the time of GPS, she would prefer to work an atlas like no other.

She will be remembered as Mimi, an endlessly proud grandmother; Mary-Lou, a beloved wife and partner; and Mom, a mother whose loving consistency provided a safe harbor of words and deeds.

She is survived by two daughters, Diana Principe (Geno) of Buffalo, NY and Michele Boisvert (Danny) of Nashua, NH, four grandsons—Maximilian and Lucas Principe, Jacob and Cameron Boisvert—and many loved stepchildren and step grandchildren.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

Please consider a donation in Mary's memory to Catholic Charities New Hampshire, https://www.cc-nh.org/donate/ Mary's family would like to thank Mt. Carmel Nursing Facility for the care and kindness they showed to her during her time with them.
