Maurice "Rick" Ponti, Jr., 65, of Merrimack and formerly of Dracut, MA, passed away on Wednesday, December 25 ^th , 2019 at Greenbriar Healthcare in Nashua after a period of declining health.

He was born on May 25 ^th , 1954 in New Britain, CT to the late Dorothy (Jordan) and Maurice Ponti, Sr.

Rick was a Senior Engineering Geologist and worked for Stantec Consulting for many years prior to his retirement.

Along with his parents, he was also pre-deceased by his brother Alan Ponti.

Rick will be forever loved and remembered by his wife Helen (Bajdek) Ponti; three children, Danielle Ponti, Nicole Ponti, and Michael Ponti and his wife Lauren; three grandchildren, Anthony, Jayden and Aryanna; a sister, Deborah Ponti along with several nieces and nephews, along with many friends.

Calling hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Thursday, January 2nd, 2020 from 4 – 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack on Friday, January 3rd at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery, W. Hollis Street in Nashua.
