Michael Lee Winn, 77, of Merrimack passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua after complications related to the return of Multiple Myeloma. He was born in Schenectady, NY the son of Oliver and Mary Elizabeth Winn. His family lived in Glens Falls, NY during his teenage years where he met and eventually married his high school sweetheart, Caroline Bullard.

Michael was a 1966 graduate of the University of Vermont with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After college, Michael and Caroline moved to Liverpool, NY where he worked for General Electric / Lockheed / Martin Marietta for 30 years before being relocated to Merrimack, NH in 1996 where he worked for BAE Systems in their infrared systems division until retirement.

While in the Syracuse area, Michael enjoyed being an active member of the Salt City Ski Club. Michael was an engineer through and through - always wanting to discover how things worked and especially enjoyed tinkering with his various electronic treasures. As a foodie, he especially appreciated Alton Brown's cooking shows/ recipes that explained the science of food, and his family feasted on his culinary efforts. Michael enjoyed thrifting, antiquing, MG automobiles, in addition to being an avid lover of music supporting a number of local and national artists. Most of all, Michael enjoyed spending time with his family - in NH and at the Winn family home on Lake George, NY.

Michael leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years Caroline B. Winn, his beloved standard poodle Bonnie, daughters Laura Winn Kane of South Burlington, VT, Jennifer Jean Winn and son-in-law, Jeffrey Preischel of Ewing, NJ, a brother Charles Barry Winn and his wife, Tamara of Colchester, VT, sister Diana Winn Levine of Marshfield, VT, and sister Elizabeth Winn and her partner, Sam Trudel of Middlebury, VT, as well as several nieces and nephews.
