Mildred "Millie" L. (Long) Rennie, 66, of Merrimack NH passed peacefully Saturday February 21, 2015 at the Community Hospice Home in Merrimack NH. She went home to her God while surrounded by her loving family.
Born the daughter of the late Thomas and Laura (Santos) Long on January 10, 1949, she was raised and educated in Manchester, NH.
Millie's working career began at the NH Fire Insurance Company then continued with several area trucking firms before taking her to the Manchester District Court and State of New Hampshire Department of Corrections Probation/Parole in Manchester. She was later reassigned to the Collections Unit, in Concord NH, from where she reluctantly retired from a position and staff she truly loved in 2012 after a years long battle with cancer.
Millie most loved special times with her family and especially loved to play games of all kinds and make crafts with her grand and great-grand children. Millie loved to play Bingo and take the occasional trip to the casino. She most especially looked forward to her Florida vacations.
Millie is survived by her husband of 18 years John G Rennie, her step-children; John M. Rennie, Steven C. Rennie, Keith A. Rennie of Merrimack NH, Brian S. Rennie of Cheney WA, and Michelle E. Rennie and her husband Rob Zechal of Berwick ME, as well as four grandchildren; Steven G. Rennie and Ashley M. Rennie, and her companion Jeremy S. Kaveckas of Merrimack NH, Kyle and Ian Rennie of Westin FL, and two great-grandchildren; Steven C. Rennie and Joshua Kaveckas of Merrimack, NH.
Millie was predeceased by her parents and four siblings; Kathleen Long, Linda Long, Judith Long and Dolores Ebol. She is survived by siblings Marie Ebol Raiche, Thomas Ebol and wife Sharon of Manchester NH, Colleen (Long) Swan and her husband Dr. Channing Swan of Bedford NH, Reverand Patricia Long, Donna Long, Attorney Mickey Long and his wife Cora of Nahant MA, and Alderman/State Representative, Patrick Long and his wife Karen, also of Manchester NH, as well as numerous nephews and nieces and many special friends.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours in the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Tuesday, February 24 from 4 – 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack on Wednesday February 25 at 9:30 AM.
