Nancy Jeanne LaFauci

We are saddened to announce the passing of Nancy LaFauci, 71, of Merrimack, NH on Thursday May 28th, 2026, after a brief illness.

She was born in Billerica, MA on December 20th, 1954, to the late Joseph and Jeanne (Blake) Surprenant. Raised in Billerica, she graduated from Billerica High School in 1972 where she was a part of the Indian’s Cheerleading squad. She later moved to Merrimack in 1974 with her husband Peter, where they shared the same loving home until her passing. Nancy worked as a paraprofessional in the Merrimack School system for many years until her retirement in 2021, where she was loved by her many students and co-workers.

In her free time Nancy found her most joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who lovingly called her Nana. Often referred to as having a heart of gold, her passion was ensuring her loved ones were taken care of, our family anchor. A lover of the ocean, she would often take trips to Hampton Beach and enjoyed several trips with her sisters to coastal destinations including Pensacola and Old Orchard Beach. She enjoyed the peaceful things in life: barbecues on her patio, celebrating holidays with her loved ones and cheering on the NE Patriots. On summer days she enjoyed reading by her pool, watching her grandchildren swim or sitting by her koi pond.

Along with her parents, Nancy is predeceased by her in-laws, Nicholas and Angelina LaFauci, brothers-in-law Anthony LaFauci and Henry Pike, sister-in-law Josephine (LaFauci) Collins; niece Melissa Lombard; and nephew Scott Lombard.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Peter LaFauci; son Peter and his wife Susan (Page) LaFauci; son Timothy; son Nicholas LaFauci and his wife Meagan (Smith) LaFauci; and daughter Lisa Piccolo and her husband Brian. She also had 7 grandchildren: Isabella, Evelyn, Joseph, Liliana, Maddox, Benjamin, and Angelina. She is also survived by her siblings: Joanne and her husband John; Sheila; Sharon, and brother Joseph; as well as 14 nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH on Thursday, June 4th from 5 – 7 PM.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
