Obituary

Neill Conor Gorman passed away unexpectedly on February 5th, 2025. He was born in St. Louis, MO on February 26, 1982. He was the son of Dr. John Gorman of Nashua, NH and Maureen O'Connell Gorman of Tyngsborough, MA.

Neill was a graduate of Tyngsborough High School, New York University and Georgetown Law. He worked at Goldman Sachs in NYC before beginning law school in D.C.  Afterward he worked as an associate attorney in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Dept. at Proskauer-Rose in NYC.  He was immediately admitted to the New York State Bar Association upon taking his first Bar exam.

During high school, in addition to after school sports and other activities, he went straight to one of his many jobs, sometimes two locales in one evening as well as every weekend. He continued this work ethic during college where one of his favorite jobs was delivering the daily "breaking news" reports to Mayor Bloomberg before starting classes. He was awarded many honors, accolades and scholarships throughout his academic life. He was voted by his classmates to be President of his Junior and Senior High School Classes.

Neill was well known for his Irish wit. He was a voracious reader; a deft cartoon artist from a very young age, diligently creating his own comic books; enjoyed playing the piano and the guitar; a talented, dedicated writer of many short stories, screenplays and children's books; a connoisseur of movies, particularly Independent films and those that reflected his off-beat personality.  He delighted in entertaining friends & family by spontaneously quoting, verbatim, lengthy spoken lines of characters from favorites, with truly authentic mimicry, sometimes as a duet with his brother or a friend; he enjoyed doing pro-bono work and other volunteerism, including traveling to disaster sites to assist and tutoring schoolchildren in the Bronx; he hugely enjoyed traveling to foreign cities, but he left his heart in New York City.

Neill was never happier than when cooking up schemes of devilment with his friends throughout grade school, high school and probably even during college, unless it was playing with and reading to his three young nephews whom he adored and from whom he received much love in return.

In addition to his parents John Gorman & Maureen O'Connell, Neill left behind his sister, Kate Ryan Gorman; twin brother Brian Gorman and sister-in-law Teresa O'Sullivan Gorman; nephews Laszlo, Barnaby and Sean Gorman; stepfather Steven Castellana; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Neill will be missed, while memories of him will be forever cherished in the hearts of those who loved him.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Christopher's Parish, 62 Manchester Street, Nashua NH on Wednesday February 12th, 2025 at 10 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to The Autism Alliance at autismalliance.org/support-us in honor of his beloved nephew, Laszlo, as Neill's love for children is part of his enduring spirit that we celebrate during this time.
