Obituary

On Monday, July 12, 2021, Norman Carr, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at the age of 76, after complications with Alzheimer's.

Norman was born on August 4, 1944 in Portland, Maine to Vincent and Dorothy Carr. He graduated from South Portland High School, class of 1962. Following graduation, he served with the U.S Air Force as a medic. Norman continued his education to receive his Masters in Biology, which he used as a professor at Rivier College in Nashua, He was a director for the Merrimack Ambulance, as well as a Selectman for the town of Merrimack. Norman retired as a Physician Assistant from Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Merrimack Family Practice after practicing for over 35 years. On June 27, 1964, he married his high school sweetheart Lucille (Kennedy) Carr. They raised three children together.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Hazel, and two brothers Charles and Timothy.

Surviving family members, His wife of 57 years Lucille, his sons Norman Carr Jr and his wife Maddy, Dorion Carr and his wife Tina and his daughter Susan, all residing in Merrimack, his 2 siblings David and Ruth, 10 grandchildren Brandon, Tayla, Andrew, Timothy, Jeremy, George, Josef, Dorion Jr, Mason, and Adam along with 7 great-grandchildren and his blood brother Mike B.

Norman was a member of the White Mountain Bass Club. He had a passion for fishing, for those that knew him, if he wasn't working he was on the lake with his fishing buddies, Mike, Serious, Percy and Hoss. He will be forever missed by his family and friends. There will be no Funeral Services as this was his wish.

A private Ceremony will be held at the Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
