Pauline Claire Gordon, 86, of Manchester, NH passed away surrounded by family on Friday, August 14th, 2026 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester after a brief illness.
She was born in Nashua, NH on July 28th, 1940 to the late Alphonse and Clara (Bouley) Charest. Raised in Hudson, NH, she was a graduate of Alvirne High School.
Pauline was a long-time employee of Catholic Medical Center and Elliott Hospital in the payroll department. After retiring, she spent many years ushering at events at the Verizon Center (now SNU Arena). In her free time, she enjoyed cooking and baking, ballroom and line dancing, attending concerts in Laconia, NH, and she traveled extensively on New England Coach, developing many warm friendships. She cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and “Porter dog”, who meant the world to her. She loved the ocean and had many adventures with the kids at the beach.
Surviving family members include two daughters, Melanie and her husband Robert DeZenzo and Rosalyn and her husband Stephen Smith; four grandchildren, Steven and his wife Kate, Jennifer and her husband Matt, Briana, Blaine and his wife Ashley; six great grandchildren, Arthur, James, Sawyer, Cade, Clara Mae and Charlee Anne; long-time companion, Ed Forcier; a sister, Diane and her husband Ken Braga along with several nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack NH on Friday, September 11th from 10 AM-12 PM. Burial will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Nashua.
