Obituary

Pierre A. Doyon, 77, a longtime resident of Nashua, NH, died Jan. 20, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua from (a non-Covid related) cardiac failure.

He was born in Saint-Evariste, Quebec, Canada on July 13, 1943 and he grew up in St-Ephrem, Quebec, Canada. Shortly after his wedding in 1966, he and his wife moved to Nashua where they settled and raised their family.

Pierre was dedicated employee in the drywall industry for over 35 years, 25 of which were with Sav-On Walls. Additionally, he loved traveling, camping, and spending time at the beach. Pierre was a very social and gregarious man, who could be found making friends wherever he went. Many people commented on his friendliness and generosity. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and adored his grandchildren.

Pierre was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Theresa (Mathieu) Doyon. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Ginette (Vachon) Doyon of Nashua, son, Steve Doyon, and Deb (Murch) Doyon, daughter-in- law, and son Carl Doyon and Julie (Desautels) Doyon, daughter-in-law, and five granddaughters: Jennifer, Sarah, Jocelyn, Chloe and Hannah, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.

A public walk thru will be held on Sunday, January 24 th , 2021 from 4PM – 6 PM at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH. Due to COVID and with respect for everyone's safety, masks will be required for attendance, and we are asking people to walk through and pay their respects, but please do not stay inside the funeral home to allow for others to visit. Following cremation, a private family interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashua.
