Priscilla R. (Gosselin) Lavoie, 85, of Merrimack, NH, passed away on Friday July 15, 2022 at the Hospice House in Merrimack surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born November 16, 1936, in Manchester, NH daughter of the late Odilon and Yvonne (Durette) Gosselin. She married Lionel Lavoie in 1956 and they made their home in Merrimack, where she was a resident for the past 65 years.
Priscilla was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, and friend. She spent many years traveling with her husband in their RV, planting vegetable gardens and cooking for her family. She was the life of the party and matriarch of the Lavoie family. Priscilla volunteered her time with Meals On Wheels and prepared funeral meals at Our Lady of Mercy, where she was a longtime parishioner. We are all blessed to have had her in our lives.
She is predeceased by her husband Lionel Lavoie, sharing 55 years of marriage; stepmother Claire (Durette) Gosselin; brother Leo Gosselin and his wife Connie; and grandson Ryan Lavoie.
She is survived by 5 sons: David Lavoie and his wife Pamela of Manchester; Steven Lavoie of Merrimack and his significant other Sandra Hughes and her son Mitchell; Nancy Lavoie; Michael Lavoie and his significant other Sharon Foreman of Manchester; James Lavoie and his wife Jill; and Robert Lavoie and his wife Susanne, all of Merrimack; eight grandchildren: Joshua, Jeffrey, Bryan, Brieann and fiancé Joshua Brown, Jaime, Jessica Bottari and her husband Brian, Kyle and his wife Elizabeth; 2 great grand-children: Caiden and Gracie Lavoie. She is also survived by two brothers George Gosselin, and Jean Gosselin and his wife Louise, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday July 20 th from 4-7 PM at the Rivet Funeral Home 425 Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack with a Service immediately following calling hours at 7 PM in the funeral home chapel. Internment will take place 10 AM on Friday July 22 nd at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Priscilla's honor may be made to Home Health and Hospice 7 Executive Drive Merrimack, NH 03054.
