Remo J. Materkowski, 69, of Merrimack, NH passed away Monday, April 14, 2025 at Ridgewood Center in Bedford, NH after a brief illness. He was born in Meriden, CT on November 29,1955 the son of the late John P. and Roma (Plonka) Materkowski.

After graduating from high school, Remo attended Central Connecticut State University, graduating in 1979. Before retirement he was employed as a process engineer for Hitchner Mfg. in Milford, NH for over 20 years and had also worked for Precision Castparts Corp. for 10 years.

Remo was a caring husband, father and friend and loved his family more than anything in the world. He had a wry sense of humor and loved to banter with friends and family. He was a lifelong Giants fan who enjoyed spending his free time taking care of his dogs Harley and Sputnik as well as vacationing with his family on Cape Cod, in the New Hampshire lakes region and the White Mountains.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lauren L. (Chase) Materkowski of Merrimack, NH; three sons, Jason Materkowski and his wife Danielle of East Hartford, CT; Alex and Jordan Materkowski, both of Merrimack, NH; and two grandchildren, Grayson and Harper Materkowski.

Visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 from 11 AM to 1 PM with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 1 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Remo's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
