Rexie
Bridgeman
May 11, 1936 – August 27, 2021
Rexie Ann Bridgeman passed away on August 27, 2021 after many years of illnesses at Mass General Brigham Newton/Wellesley Hospital with her daughter by her side.
She is survived by her daughter Belinda Bridgeman-Freeman of Merrimack, NH and her son Jack W Bridgeman, Jr of Winter Park, Florida. She was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother to her granddaughter Brittany A Freeman of Merrimack, NH and great-grandchildren Briella and Brayden Padron. Rexie is also survived by her Virginia-Tennessee family brother John T McDavid and sister-in-law Carolyn McDavid along with siblings Kathy, Theresa, Edna, Harlon, Clayton, and Randy McDavid. Her son in law Robert Freeman of Naples, Florida and daughter in law Jackie Bridgeman of Winter Park, Florida.
Rexie was born in Bristol, Virginia on May, 11, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Trula Trivett and Ralph McDavid. She lived in many locations including Tennessee, Texas, North Carolina, Alabama, Delaware, Spain (which was her favorite with many stories about!), New Hampshire and Florida. She was a jet setter and loved to travel frequently between Florida and New Hampshire enjoying the best of both worlds. Rexie loved to create and design costumes for the Dover Ballet Theatre Company, former Miss New Hampshire's, The Cheaters performance group and many more. She was a state chaperone and later state traveling companion to many Miss New Hampshire's within the Miss America Pageant. She loved all of her "girls" and the wonderful experiences they had. Rexie was a loving, selfless and compassionate mother that dedicated her life to her family. Her joys were traveling, spending time with her family and having fun!
In most recent years Facebook was one of her favorite hobbies and allowed her to connect with so many people and make new friends! We would hear every day about other people's lives and it was her way of staying connected to the outside world even when she couldn't leave the house at times. She was sassy, feisty and always a fighter and will be greatly missed by so many.
