Obituary

Robert Charles Abramo of Merrimack New Hampshire, formerly from Waltham Massachusetts passed away on October 7, 2022 after a brave battle with cancer. He passed peacefully surrounded by his wife, grandchildren, close friend, and daughter Michele who never left his side. He was 73 years old.

Robert was born in Waltham Massachusetts August 2,1949 to the late Anthony J. Abramo, and Jeanne E. Abramo. Bob's love for music and arts began when he was young. He started his first band The Sounds in which he was vocals, guitar, and songwriter. His love for art was encouraged in high school and helped further his passion for music that he would eventually pursue.

After graduation he served in the US Navy, and upon completion of basic training married his girlfriend Juana who remained by his side for 52 years. They started a family when he returned from service having two daughters Wendy and Michele. He went on to attend the Northeast broadcasting school in Boston, train on trumpet, write music, make his own broadcasting originals all while learning to adapt and manage his service-related health conditions.

Bob was a loving father who enjoyed his life and raising his daughters in Nashua. He loved serving in his church as a deacon and did work in missions. Following the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, he didn't think twice about digging through the devastation or doing what was necessary to aid survivors. He loved and cared for people so much and always put others before himself.

Prior to retirement he enjoyed working alongside his wife as a home health care provider. He was proud member of his local VFW band and played several years in the Hollis town band where he was awarded a scholarship for further jazz training in Kentucky. He proudly released his debut album A Night In Utopia in 2014.

During retirement he designed and built a custom music room where he kept playing and making his music. He truly enjoyed serving as Vice President and President for the Merrimack senior club where made many new friendships. Robert was a lifelong servant of God. He was truly loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.

Along with his parents he is pre-deceased by his sister Jeanne Slater, his niece Dianne Ashman, and Theresa Abramo.

He will be forever loved and cherished by his wife Juana F. Abramo. He is survived by his daughter Wendy F. Abramo, and her husband Dan, Michele K. Abramo, his son in law Chris, and his beloved grandchildren Angeleah, Antonio, John, and Adler, His brother Anthony J. Abramo Jr. and his wife Jill, his son John Abramo, and his nieces and nephews, Michael, Joseph, Sara, and John.
