October 29, 1958 – April 11, 2024
Robert C. Bjornson, age 65, a longtime resident of Merrimack, NH died Thursday, April 11, 2024, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH after a brief battle with cancer.
Bob was born in Waltham, MA on Oct. 29, 1958, the son of the late Robert F. and Carol Mary (Nash) Bjornson.
Bob was a graduate of Merrimack High School, class of 1979. He graduated from Nashua Community College in 2001 with a degree in CNC Machine Tool Technology. Bob loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, and fisherman, and spent many vacations camping and boating all over New England. He also loved hanging out with his children and grandchildren with unconditional love. He will be missed by all.
For the past ten years+, Bob was a CNC machinist for GE Aviation in Hooksett, NH. Before working for GE, Bob worked at Nimcor in Nashua, NH.
In addition to his parents, Bob was pre-deceased by his son Brian R. Bjornson who died in 2020; and his nephew Robert John "Jack" Pacl in 2003.
Members of Bob's surviving family include his loving wife of 39 years, Kathy L Bjornson of Merrimack, NH, a son Chris Signor of New Boston; a daughter Diana Murphy of Milford, NH; three grandchildren, Orion and Elara Signor, and Summer Murphy (for whom he held a special place in his heart); his only sibling, sister Janice Pacl and her husband Bob of Harvard, MA; two nieces, Abbey and Kristin Pacl; and many, many cousins.
Calling hours will be held in the Rivet Funeral Home & Crematorium, 425 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack, NH on Friday, April 19, 2024, from 4-7 PM. In early June, a memorial service will be held in the First Congregational Church, 10 Union St., Milford, NH. A celebration of life will be held following the memorial service.
The burial will take place in the family lot in Edgewood Cemetery, Nashua, NH.
For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Elliot P. Joslin Camp, 150 Richardson Corner Rd, Charlton, MA 01507.
