Robert J. Brown, 83, of Merrimack NH passed away on Friday, March 1st, 2024 peacefully in his sleep.

He was born in Boston, MA on March 24th, 1940, son of the late John A. and Anna (Bourque) Brown. Raised in Somerville, MA, he was a graduate of Somerville High School and received his degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Robert proudly served in the U.S Army from 1962 to 1965. After receiving an honorable discharge, Robert went on to work as a software engineer for many years, retiring from Digital Corp.

Growing up he enjoyed spending his summers in Surrettes Island Nova Scotia.  He was a motorcycle enthusiast, and a passionate artist.  He enjoyed boating, motorcycling, and being around his family.

Along with his parents, Robert was pre-deceased by his three siblings, Doris Donahue, Jane Garvin and Frederick Brown.

He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 45 years, Phyllis Brown; four children, Nancy M. Goodspeed and her husband Marc, Robert J. Jolin, Michelle J. Noonan and her husband Shawn and John A. Brown; five grandchildren, Matthew, Morgan, Becca, Brianna and Abigail, God-daughter, Linda Downing along with several nieces, nephews and many friends.

A committal service along with military honors will be held in the chapel at the NH Veteran's Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH on March 15 at 11:00 AM.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Camp Sargant Co-Op Clubhouse, 1 Nottingwood Lane, Merrimack NH on Saturday, March 16th from 12 Noon - 3 PM.
