Robert B. Fitts, Sr., 87, of Londonderry, NH passed away on Wednesday, January 28th, 2026 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH with his family by his side. It was a peaceful transition into his eternal home with unceasing family love and the constant support of the angel nurses and doctors at Elliot Hospital.

He was born in Lynn, MA on March 30th, 1938 to the late Everett and Ola (Davis) Fitts. Raised in Hampton, NH and graduated from Hampton High School.

Early in life, Bob enjoyed autobody work, sharing his skills with his sons and proceeded to put them to use as an insurance adjuster for Allstate Insurance for many years until his retirement in 2000.

Having a passion for anything with a motor, Bob enjoyed cars of all eras – modern, antique, hotrods – and even snowmobiles and boats. He enjoyed taking trips to local cruise nights, the Epping Drags and the NH Motor Speedway in Loudon at the request of his children.

Always patient and caring, he was always willing to share an ear or provide advice if someone needed it. He had a vein of humor that ran through him, always ready to generate a laugh.

When his kids were young, Bob supported them through Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, even participating in camping weekends along with taking them hunting and fishing to teach them what he knew.

Along with his wife Lorraine, they collected stuffed Steiff bears, attending bear shows and bringing home another "trophy bear" each time.

Along with his parents, Bob was pre-deceased by a son, Michael Fitts in 2019.

He will be forever loved and cherished by his wife Lorraine (Barber) Fitts; two children, Robert Fitts, Jr. and his wife Francy and Lynda and her husband Cliff Peterson; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

At the request of the family, services will be held privately at their convenience.
