Robert J Masse, 88, of Nashua NH passed peacefully on July 2, 2022 surrounded by his wife and family.

Bob was born in Cambridge Ma to Hector and Margret Masse. He grew up in Watertown MA where he first enjoyed performing magic for friends and family. He served as Treasurer of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and inducted as a member of the Order of Merlin.

A devout Roman Catholic, Bob joined the Knights of Columbus. During a KOC dance he met and fell in love with Elizabeth 'Betty' King. Their marriage in 1956 would span the rest of their lives producing a beautiful and close family.

Shortly after their marriage Bob proudly served in the US Army after which they would move to Waltham and have their 3 children. In 1965 they moved to Bedford MA where Bob served as a lector at St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church. They made many friends who they are still friends with today.

Those children gave Bob and Betty 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren which they are very proud of.

Along with magic and his serving as a lector and extraordinary minister in church, Bob enjoyed playing golf with friends and family here and in Esteo, FL.

As shy as he was, he went to Dale Carnage and became very adept at public speaking. In 1976, Bob held a public office in Bedford MA as Measurer of Wood Bark and Manure.

In 2000 Bob and Betty bought a condo in Estero Florida. They enjoyed many warm winter days and made good friends.

Bob is survived by Betty the love of his life; Father to Robert Masse and his wife Sharon of Windham NH, David Masse of Merrimack NH, and Donna and her husband John Coughlin III of Merrimack NH; daughter-in-law, Sandy Giodano; Papa of Scott and Megan, Ryan and Rebecca, Christina, Heather and Eric, Jaclyn and Derek, Lisa and Andrew, John and Leia, Tyler and Jessica, Meaghan and Connor; Papa the Great to James, Olivia, Erin, Joseph, Ellie, James, Sophie and Jax; brothers-in-law, John Snodgrass and Raymond Malley.

Bob was welcomed to heaven by his parents Hector and Margaret Masse of Watertown Ma Sisters Rita Malley of Alexandrea VA, Ann Snodgrass of Cumberland RI and grandson Scott Masse of Belmont MA.

RIP Bob, Robert, Honey, Dad, Daddy, Papa, Papa The Great and Mr. Magic.

Calling hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack NH on Wednesday, July 6 ^th from 4 – 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Christopher's Church, 62 Manchester Street, Nashua on Thursday, July 7 ^th at 10 AM. Burial will be held in Newton Cemetery, Newton MA at 12:30 PM.
