Obituary

Roger Lee Deering, 78, of Nashua passed away on Wednesday April 22 nd , 2021 at his home after a period of declining health surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Dexter, Maine on June 29 th , 1942 to the late Kenneth B. and Sarah (Vane) Deering. After moving to Nashua, he graduated from Nashua High School.

Roger enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for 3 years. After receiving an honorable discharge, he went to work for Bemis Plastics in Nashua for many years, retiring as a supervisor. In his free time, he enjoyed listening to country music, playing pool and spending time with his family.

Along with his parents, Roger was pre-deceased by five siblings, Raymond, Ralph and Douglas Deering, Virginia Howell and Patricia Chamberlain.

He will be forever loved and remembered by his five children, Michael Deering and his wife Liliane, Kenneth Deering and his wife Donna, Jeffrey Deering, Allen Deering and Christine Yager; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Louise Carr, Betty Dukette, Sharon Goddeau, Donna Schofield and Sue Gibson along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation hours at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Tuesday, April 27 th from 5 – 7 PM. Due to COVID and with respect to everyone's safety, masks will be required for attendance and social distancing will be enforced. We are asking people to walk through and pay their respects, but please do not stay inside the funeral home to allow an opportunity for others to visit.

After cremation, burial of Rogers urn will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Hartland, Maine at a later date.
