Obituary

Rosemarie Leona Monroe (Levesque), beloved mother, mémère, wife, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2025, at the age of 75, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 16, 1949, Rosemarie was the daughter of Gerard and Theresa Levesque. She brought warmth, grace, and quiet strength into the lives of all who knew her. She was a woman of unwavering kindness and a steadfast love for her family. Always ready with gentle guidance and open arms, she made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to be in her life.

She was married for 56 years to Michael C. Monroe—a bond built on enduring love and partnership.

Rosemarie's life was a testament to strength, resilience, and generosity. She found joy in the simple pleasures—sunshine and the water, a good book, meals shared with family, and the company of those she loved. An avid cook and passionate sports fan, she was always ready to cheer on her team or welcome others with a lovingly prepared meal. Her heart was fullest when surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchild, who knew her affectionately as "Mémère."

She is survived by her husband, Michael C. Monroe; her daughters, Pauline (Monroe) Thibeault and her husband Troy Thibeault, and Jody (Monroe) Lyonnais and her husband Robert Lyonnais; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Her legacy is one of love—steadfast, unconditional, and marked by immeasurable courage and strength. She will be deeply missed by her family, her friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
