Scott Horvath, 63, of Manchester, NH passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday March 31st, 2026.
He was born in Miami, FL on January 2nd, 1963, to Howard Horvath and the late Joan Marron. Raised in Merrimack, he graduated high school in 1982 and continued his education at Notre Dame College in Manchester, NH where he obtained his bachelor's degree in history.
Scott worked as an overnight counselor at Easter Seals for many years. It was a life and career spent helping others less fortunate than he. Scott was ultimately able to retire and spent the last 10 years in a community of people looking out for one another.
In his free time Scott enjoyed reading anything, especially military history and science fiction. In fact, despite poor eyesight, he read over 1000 books (paperback, tape and cd) on many different subjects including religion and philosophy. In his younger years he was a member of the Navy Seabees and spent many hours bowling with his father and family. It’s probably fair to say he most enjoyed a good conversation on any topic! Scott was a great son, brother and uncle.
Scott is predeceased by his mother Joan Marron and survived by his father, Howard Horvath Sr.; his two brothers, Glenn Horvath, and Howard Horvath Jr. and his wife Patricia; his two nephews, Jake Horvath, and Max Horvath and his wife Theresa; and his two nieces, Carly Horvath and Mini Kohadja and her husband Gabor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 8th at 9:30 AM at the Our Lady of Mercy Church located at 16 Baboosic Lake Rd in Merrimack, NH with a burial to follow at the Last Rest Cemetery also located in Merrimack.
