Sean
Fagan
August 1, 1969 – March 8, 2024
Sean Patrick Fagan, 54, a legendary resident of Merrimack, NH, embarked on his final adventure on Friday, March 8, 2024, bidding farewell to a long and valiant battle with illness. Born in the Bronx, NY on Aug. 1, 1969, Sean was the beloved son of the late William P. and Sheila J. Fagan.
Sean's journey through life was as colorful as the leaves of autumn. He walked the halls of Merrimack schools and proudly graduated from Merrimack High School Class of 1988. His post-school days saw him morphing his love for tinkering with cars into a mastery of heavy equipment operation and eventually into a fulfilling career as a facility manager, a role that transcended commercial and public sectors. Most recently, he donned the hat of Assistant Director of Maintenance for the Bedford School District, pouring his heart into a job he adored until his last breath. Known far and wide for his wisdom and warm heart, Sean was the go-to guy for his family and neighbors. He had a way of uncomplicating things to put people at ease.
Sean grew up loving the New Hampshire outdoors and spent most of his life outside. His favorite activities included exploring New Hampshire's lakes and forests, boating, casting fishing lines, pursuing game, racing cars and riding motorcycles and off-road vehicles.
A charismatic storyteller and master of pranks. Sean loved to entertain.
His heart swelled with pride for his brothers and friends in the military, police force, and NH Fish and Game Department, and he stood steadfastly by their side, actively participating in events that brought communities together.
Sean leaves behind a tapestry of cherished memories woven with his longtime partner of 25 years, Susan Williams of Merrimack; two brothers, Brendan Fagan of Newmarket, NH, and Kieran "Butch" Fagan of Merrimack; aunts, uncles, and cousins who will carry his legacy forward with grace and love.
Friends and well-wishers are invited to share their stories and bid Sean adieu during calling hours at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack, NH, on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Rd, Merrimack, on Friday at 9:30 AM, with burial to ensue in Last Rest Cemetery, Merrimack, NH.
In honor of Sean's unwavering spirit, donations can be made to Home Health and Hospice Care, located at 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054, in lieu of flowers, as a tribute to his enduring legacy of kindness and compassion.
