Sherry Ann Wright, 77, of Merrimack, NH peacefully entered eternal life in heaven on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack.
Sherry was born on April 26, 1949, in Danville, PA. She was the daughter of Mary Ruth and Blaine Carter Eves and was raised in Millville, PA where she graduated from high school.
Sherry met the love of her life at the age of twelve at River Valley Ranch in Maryland, Warren S Wright. Warren preceded her in death in February of 2025, and they have now been reunited along with so many others who shared their faith in God and accepted his gift of salvation.
In her younger years she was drum majorette for the Millville High School band, and she studied hair dressing at beauty school in Bloomsburg, PA. Once married she helped her husband manage the chain of Village Sub Shops in Baltimore, MD. For a brief time, she was hostess at the Bobs Big Boy restaurant in Camp Hill, PA. After moving to NH in 1978 she was housekeeper for numerous Merrimack families and eventually became a waitress, perhaps her favorite job, for more than 20 years at Blakes restaurant in Manchester, NH.
Sherry very much loved spending time along the New Hampshire and Maine coast and she was a very loyal customer of Blakes in Merrimack before its closure and more recently of the Lobster Boat in Merrimack where she had made many friends with the staff there.
Sherry loved her entire family deeply and showed that love by baking many cakes and pies, crocheting blankets for them, hosting holiday meals at her home for as long as she could, and making phone calls just to talk. Most importantly, Sherry loved her family by praying for each of them that they would grow to know and love Jesus and have a saving relationship with him. Sherry worked so that her children could attend Grace Christian School for some of their elementary years. She had also been very active at Merrimack Valley Baptist Church in years past organizing many family fellowship Sunday nights and teaching Sunday school for the toddlers.
Sherry is survived in life by her three children, Nathaniel Wright and his wife Susan of Elizabethtown, PA, Jason Wright and his wife Sarah of Merrimack and Jennifer DeMaggio and her husband Adam DeMaggio also of Merrimack; eight grandchildren, Ruth Ann and her husband Ben, Siaoli and her husband Spenser, Serenah, Jinger, Jake, Dominick, Seiler and Carter. She was very much looking forward to meeting her great granddaughter Analiya expected in December.
Visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Monday, September 14, 2026 from 5-7 PM. Burial will be held privately for the family in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery located in Boscawen where Sherry will be buried with her husband.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Warren's memory can be made to Home Health and Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054. Please note it as a memorial gift for Sherry A Wright and to be designated for the Community Hospice House where Sherry received exceptional care in her final days.
