Shirley Ann Millett, 92, of Nashua, NH passed away peacefully on Friday, January 16th, 2026 at her home with her daughter Eileen by her side.
Born in Manchester, NH on June 7th, 1933, Shirley was one of 5 children to the late Leon and Louise (Smith) Hardy. She was raised in Manchester, graduated from Manchester West High School in 1951 and attended nursing school at Memorial Hospital and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1954.
Shirley was head nurse of the Medical Surgical Ward at Memorial Hospital in Nashua for many years before her retirement. In her high school years, she was part of the rifle club and enjoyed going to the roller-skating rink, where she met her husband, Eugene. She was an exceptional and loving mother, her life's strongest conviction.
She was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 40 years, Eugene Millett in 1999 along with her 4 siblings, Helen Towne, Edith "Dee Dee" Cate, Judy Cate and Curtis Hardy.
Surviving members of her family include two daughters, Eileen Horner and Patricia Arbour and her husband Denny Arbour; her only grandchild, Matthew Spettel along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Christophers Parish, 62 Manchester Street, Nashua on Tuesday, January 27th, 2026 at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery, also in Nashua.
