Steven P. Whitney, 34, of Merrimack, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 12, 2024.

Steven was born in Nashua, NH on May 24, 1989, son of Brian and Susan (Krieger) Whitney of Merrimack. He was a graduate of Merrimack High School Class of 2008. He attended Manchester Community College and obtained an associate degree in automotive technology in May 2010. After graduation, Steven first worked as a mechanic at Mike's Auto Service in Amherst NH and then at D&R Towing in Nashua NH. In 2019 he joined Redmond Fleet in Hudson NH when his friend Matt started the business.

Steven was a funny and kind soul, always ready to help. The fussy childhood eater became a wonderful cook. He loved his bread machine and made pizza doughs and breads for family and friends. He loved finding new recipes on pinterest. Steve was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his annual fishing trip to Clear Stream Campground in Errol NH with his dad, uncle, and cousin. He loved camping and outdoor activities with his family. He enjoyed quiet times at a campfire and looking up at a beautiful moon. He loved his trips to Aruba and watching the sunset over the ocean. He was an astounding gamer and looked forward to each new release. He had quite the set up.  He was an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend who would do anything for anyone.  He loved his family, friends, and his dogs. He will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Steven is remembered and loved by his brother Brent Whitney of Merrimack, NH and his sister and brother in-law, Megan and Yasin Senturk of Watertown, MA; maternal grandparents, Richard Krieger of Queensbury, NY and the late Lillian Krieger; his paternal grandparents, Anne Whitney of Merrimack, NH and the late Peter Mark Whitney. Aunts and uncles, Sharon and Gene Fantozzi of Merrimack, NH, Dee Dee and David Fontaine of Tilton, NH, Peter Mark (Jr) and Susie Whitney of Goffstown NH, Lynda and Steve Mack of Merrimack, NH and Sharon Krieger of Point of Rocks, MD. In addition to his grandparents, Steven was pre-deceased by an Uncle Richard Krieger Jr. of Willow Park, TX.  Also loved and missed by many cousins and extended family.
