Susan Anne Martin, 69, of Merrimack, NH passed away peacefully on Monday, June 26th, 2023 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Ipswich, MA on November 8th, 1953 to John G. Thatcher Jr. and the late Anne (Marc-Aurele) Thatcher. She was raised in Ipswich and was a graduate of Ipswich High School.

A loving wife, mother, grammy, sister, daughter, aunt and friend, Susan enjoyed spending time with her late husband, children, and grandchildren. She loved traveling with her husband, family days at the pool, drives to the coast, family vacations, reading books, and laughing with friends over a drink (or two).

She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 36 years, Wayne C. Martin in 2019.

Susan will be forever loved and remembered by her two children, Stefanie and her husband Patrick Lo Squadro of Merrimack, NH, and Timothy Martin and his wife Nicolle of Amherst, NH; three beloved grandchildren, Brynn Martin and Nora and Owen Lo Squadro; sister, Rebecca Thatcher-Lord and her husband Thomas of Campton, NH; brother, John G. Thatcher, III and his wife Karen of Billerica, MA, along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack NH on Friday, July 7th from 3 – 6 PM with a service to follow at 6 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be held privately.
