Timothy "TJ" Alan Cates, Jr., 23, of Manchester went with angels to Heaven on January 10 ^th , 2020 surrounded by his loving mom and dad and close family members.

TJ was born on September 14 ^th , 1996 to Kimberly (Alarcon) and Timothy Alan Cates, Sr.

He graduated from Central High School in 2015 and was a member of the high school marching band. While in school, he received his black belt in Tae kwon do. TJ was very family oriented and loved to camp, fish, hunt and attend family gatherings. He was an avid musician and loved to write songs and play his guitar.

TJ was currently employed at Mr. Messenger in Manchester.

Along with his loving parents, TJ is survived by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his great-grandmother, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends – who all loved him dearly.

Visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Friday, January 17 ^th from 5 – 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Cathedral, 145 Lowell Street, Manchester on Saturday, January 18 ^th at 10 AM. Burial will be held at a later date.
