85, of Merrimack, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA after a brief illness. She was born in Boston, MA on July 8, 1921 a daughter of the late Edward A. & Winifred B. (Crogan) Melia. Mrs. Favreau was a graduate of Framingham State Teachers College, and had taught in the Boston Public Schools for over 20 years. She was formerly of Duxbury and Dedham, MA before moving to Merrimack with her daughter. Mrs. Favreau was the widow of John A. Favreau who died Sept. 15, 2006, with whom she was married to for 63 years. She is also predeceased by a daughter, Margaret Carroll, and a brother, Edward Melia, and two sisters, Mary Kelley, and Ruth Melia. Members of her family include four daughters and four sons in-law, Theresa & Timothy Maki of Merrimack, Elizabeth & Jerome Wuebbolt of Weare, NH, Nancy & Robert Holtorf of Perkinsville, VT, and Janice & Russell Millholland of Southborough, MA, 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are at the George R. Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Hwy, MERRIMACK, Friday from 2-4 & 7 -9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, Sat. at 10 AM. Family requests memorial contributions to Our Lady of Mercy Renovation Fund or to Lahey Clinic, Surgical ICU, C/O Philanthropy Dept, 41 Mall Road, Burlington, MA 01805-0105.
