JoAnn Thompson, 67, of Merrimack, NH died at St. Joseph Hospital on Thursday, October 6, 2011.
JoAnn was born, January 4, 1944 in Gardner, MA. The daughter of the late Edward and Irene (Polywacz) Szavoick. She and her family lived in Merrimack, NH for 29 years coming from Lakeview, NY.
JoAnn was a communicant of St. John Neumann Parish. She worked for N.E. Telephone for over 40 years and was known for her compassion as well as being an incredible caregiver.
JoAnn is survived by her husband of 44 years, Kenneth "Ken" Thompson, of Merrimack, NH; a daughter, Jessica and her husband Darren, of Portsmouth, NH; a brother Thomas Szavoick, of Gardner, MA and was excited about being an expectant grandmother.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 11, from 1-3 pm at the Rivet Funeral Home & Crematorium, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH. A memorial service will follow the calling hours at 3 pm also at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations maybe made in her name to, The American Heart Association, Heart Gifts Processing Center, P.O.Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049.
