Corwin "Red" Dukes died unexpectedly at St. Joseph's hospital on March 3, 2016 in Nashua NH at the age of 54.

Corwin was born on March 6, 1961 in Berrien Springs to Barbara Dukes He graduated from Central High School Kalamazoo Michigan in 1979. He later attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College. He married Cherri Vander Meer in Annapolis MD in 1994. After moving to Maryland, Corwin began working for Marriott. The couple welcomed one daughter into their life Gabrielle Dukes. Corwin then moved with his family to Merrimack NH, Essex Junction VT.Taunton MA, Wyoming MI and then back to Merrimack NH to his final home.

He is preceded in death by his father Larry Glenn, stepfather George H Jones Sr., sister Daphne Jones as well as longtime friend Malcolm Robinson.

Cowin is survived by his mother Barbara (Dukes-Jones) Sayles and her husband Edward Sayles, of Portage MI; wife Cherri (Vander Meer) Dukes and daughter Gabrielle Erica Dukes of Merrimack NH.; Ranee Dukes and LeRoy Robinson of Kalamazoo MI, Anita Jones of Silver Spring MD, George Jones and Shericka Perkins of Benton Harbor MI, Augustus Jones of Kalamazoo MI, Kenya Jones and Joyce Denise Smith of Kalamazoo MI, special family member Aunt Robbie Jean Dukes, Goddaughter Jasmine Smith and very special family friend Brianna Hedlund.

A funeral is scheduled for March 18, 2016 at 1pm at the Family Funeral Home 1102 E. Main St. Benton Harbor MI. Pastor Rodney Gulley will be officiating. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Corwin's life.
