Anne
Tate
March 15, 1925 – April 24, 2017
Anne (Warren) Tate, 92, of Merrimack, NH, and formerly of Central, TN, passed away at Community Hospice House in Merrimack on April 24, 2017.
She was born March 15, 1925 in Hillsboro, TN, the only child of the late Maurice and Cora (Haynes) Warren.
Anne attended business school in Nashville, TN and was employed by Merrimack Superintendent of Schools. She also worked as a bookkeeper for the family business and was Treasurer of the United Methodist Women group for many years.
She was the beloved wife of the late Lloyd E. Tate for 51 years. She is survived by her daughter Linda (Tate) Lansford and her husband David Lansford; daughter Dianne Tate and her husband William Studley; her son Lloyd (Sam) Tate III and his wife Nancy Tate; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Ann loved to read and do crossword puzzles. She took pride in making jams and jellies. She loved animals, especially cats. Her greatest joy was traveling. She visited all over the United States and quite a few other countries. The highlight was her trip to the Holy Land.
Her later years were happy and content due to the amazing staff at Rose Haven Assisted Living Home. She made many friends and everyone at Rose Haven enriched her life greatly.
Services will be held at St. James United Methodist Church, where she was a long time member, on May 13, 2017 at 11:00am. We ask everyone to wear her favorite color, red, and celebrate her life.
