Lena L. Parker, 87, of Merrimack passed away on Saturday, October 7th, 2017 at Nashua Crossings in Nashua after a period of declining health.

She was born in Warspite, Alberta, Canada on December 1, 1929 to the late John and Maria (Budna) Potiuk.

Lena was a registered nurse at various hospitals for many years before she retired to dedicate herself to raise her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and hosting holiday gatherings for family and friends.

Mrs. Parker was fondly know as the Card Lady as she sent Birthday, Wedding, Condolences, Thank-you's, Thinking of You, Get Well Soon, All holiday cards to friends, family and any one sick from clubs she was in. She was a member of Merrimack Seniors Citizens, and Secretary for Women's Guild club at Merrimack Lady of Mercy Church.

Along with her parents, she was also pre-deceased by her husband William Parker in 2006, a grandson, Keenan MaGowen in 2006, and two siblings, Stan Potiuk and Helen Boston.

Surviving members of her family include four sons, William "Brian" Parker of FL, Bruce Parker of Merrimack, Gordon Parker, Sr., of Weare, and Kevin Parker of Manchester; two daughters, Lonnie Dubois of Merrimack and Jolene Foster of Hudson; seven grandchildren, Heather Dubois, Amber Dubois, Kimberly Parker, Gordon Parker II, Jamie Parker, Jessica Parker and Alan Foster; one great-grandson, Spencer Richard; two great-granddaughters, Maylee Hall and Jade Richards; two brothers, Peter and Donald Potiuk, both of Alberta, Canada; three sisters, Jean Sieb of Calgary, Alberta, Olga Potiuk, and Mary Ehret, all of WA, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Sunday October 15 from 4 - 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, NH on Monday, October 16th at 9:30AM. Burial will follow in Valley Cemetery, Manchester.
